Philosophy

The Decomposition of the Traditional Morality as an Assumption of the European Nihilism

Šlosiariková, Katarína
In: , p. 5 - 17. ISBN:

Abstract

If we symbolically attempted to clarify the course which has eventuated into the current “global crisis” especially in the field of examination of the dichotomy of life and death, the most appropriate statement would be the famous Nietzsche’s figural sentence: “God is dead.” Nietzsche was the first philosopher who exposed the European nihilism relating to fall of universal values and decomposition of traditional morality. Nietzsche’s philosophy and work is still very current that’s why it is really vital and purpose-made for our needs. Decomposition of traditional morality and destruction of metaphysical center are both events, in which we should look for the reasons and purpose of the European nihilism that Nietzsche supposed.

The Divergence of the Etymologic Interpretations of the Hornad River Name on the Backround of the Historical and Ethnic Development

Góotšová, Andrea
In: , p. 30 - 35. ISBN:

Abstract

The author focuses attention on etymological interpretations of the Hornad River name that more (non)linguists have dealt with. By illustrating particular divergent concepts and consecutive (non)identification with them author clarifies the patchwork of many unsatisfactory interpretations. In demonstrating of own interpretation it took into consideration the historical development of the investigated site, the outcomes of recently realized archaeological research. The interpretation of Š. Ondruš was also very helpful. The author identifies with the theories endorsing the Slavonic origin of the river name, because she is confident that the coming foreign ethnics took over the existing and in the communication process working name which they subsequently adjusted and adapted to the sound needs of the given language. According to authors opinion the Hornad River acquired its name according to the appellative hora (gora) < adj. horný (gor-ъn-) with suffix -at:-ad, in a pre-historical reconstruction Gorъn-ad, Gornad.

General and Specific Aspects of the Term Construction in Linguistics

Rašová, Dominika
In: , p. 36 - 44. ISBN:

Abstract

Konštrukčná gramatika odhaľuje kombinačné postupy v konštrukciách, dekonštruuje texty a nachádza skutočné predpoklady použitia a produkcie konštrukcií.

(Not)categorisation of Jiddish into the Stratification Model of German and Slovak Language

Zajacová, Tamara
In: , p. 45 - 54. ISBN:

Abstract

Messianic Tendencies in Dramas of Samuel Ormis

Kelčíková, Petra
In: , p. 55 - 63. ISBN:

Abstract

I Dream, Therefore I Exist : Towards Author's Poetics of Eva Luka (Eva Luka – Diabloň: 2005, Havranjel: 2011)

Urbanová, Eva
In: , p. 91 - 94. ISBN:

Abstract

This review discusses about two worlds in the poetry of Eva Luka, especially in collections Havranjel (2011) and Diabloň (2009). We distinguish two worlds according to binary oppositions “real” (earthly) versus “fantastic” (daemonic): dreamy world and world of fiction which references to real world. The lyrical subject (she) is moving between these worlds. As a line of dreamy world we can recognize an important motive of the water. The lyrical subject is changing into varied forms (mostly animal forms), as if she has to partly die, she gives up part of herself, she can go into this dreamy world only after that and that is a way how to gain the subconscious. We verify, that both of these worlds “live” in a symbiosis, they need each other. It seems that a dream, like a building-element of poetic text, is still the way how to a write an authentically and successful poetry which is also interesting for reading public.
